All deposits insured in full up to $250,000 by the Federal Deposit Insurance Fund (FDIC) and amounts above $250,000 by the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF) of the Cooperative Central Bank of Massachusetts.

Safe Deposit Boxes
There are some things that have to be kept safe and secure, whether it’s insurance policies, marriage or birth certificates, deeds, jewelry, or sentimental items that can never be replaced, having a safe deposit box can keep all your valuable documents and items in one place that’s easy for you to access. Boxes come in a variety of sizes and can be used for personal or business needs. Price is based on the box size chosen. Safe deposit boxes are available at our Pittsfield (110 Dalton Ave.) Dalton and Great Barrington branch location. Safe deposit boxes can be accessed during the branch’s lobby hours.

Safe deposit boxes should not be used for cash, passports, or documents such as a will, power of attorney, or medical directive that you may need in an emergency situation. The contents of a safe deposit box is not insured by the FDIC, DIF, or the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank. However, you may, at your own expense, secure your own insurance for the contents.

Bank Checks
We offer Bank Checks for Co-op customers. There is a $5.00 charge per check.

Money Orders
We offer Money Orders for Co-op customers. There is a $3.00 charge per money order.

Night Depository
For your convenience, each of our locations has a night depository.

Deposit Account Overdraft Protection
Safeguard your Co-op checking account from an inadvertent overdraft with Deposit Account Overdraft Protection. Automatically transfer from your statement savings to your checking account in multiples of $10.00. With our overdraft protection, you pay $5.00 for one daily transfer instead of $30.00 for each check returned for insufficient funds.

The Co-op offers a range of other services to assist you with your banking, including: Wire Transfers, Direct Deposit of Government and Payroll Checks, Bank by Mail, Instant Statement, Stop Payments, and Notary Services.
