Cooperation makes the community stronger

Incorporated February 15, 1889, the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank has been proudly providing customer-focused banking and lending services for the Berkshire community for over 130 years. As an independent, full-service community bank, we have a deep history helping residents, regional businesses, arts and cultural venues and not-for-profit organizations through sponsorships, donations, and volunteering.

The Bank and our staff are committed to the community. Pittsfield Cooperative Bank has branch offices and ATMs located in Pittsfield, Dalton, Great Barrington and Hinsdale. As a community bank, our local lenders love to meet with customers in person—at a branch or their business—and make decisions quickly on personal and business loans. Our expertise, value, and convenience, in addition to proven fundamental banking practices, have allowed the Pittsfield Co-op to remain very well capitalized. Pittsfield Cooperative Bank was named one of the 50 Fastest Growing Commercial Lenders in Massachusetts and the first of all banks headquartered in the Berkshires by Banker & Tradesman in 2022.

Our mission and goals are straightforward. We are well positioned to make the right moves to accelerate our growth, and we have a strong team who follow our Core Values.

Pittsfield Cooperative Bank serves customers in the cities, towns and villages of Berkshire County; southern Bennington County in Vermont; and eastern Rensselaer County in New York.

Pittsfield Cooperative Bank’s mission is to provide high-quality and competitive financial products for individuals, families and businesses through integrity, respect, and individualized customer service to protect the strength of our institution for the overall betterment of our community, customers and employees.
