The Conrad Bernier Memorial Scholarship
ABOUT
Renamed the Conrad R. Bernier Memorial Scholarship in late 2022 to honor the life of Conrad R. Bernier, former president and CEO of Pittsfield Cooperative Bank from 1995 to 2011 and Chairman of the Board until 2020. The scholarship was originally created to celebrate the institution’s 100th anniversary in 1989, and has awarded over $350,000 to regional high school students since its inception.
Scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to graduating high school seniors residing in our general market to assist with tuition costs at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school.
ELIGIBILITY
- Online application must be completed by March 31, 2024.
- Applicant must be a primary customer in good standing to apply.
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior residing in our general market area.
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior that will be attending a college, university, or vocational school.
- Applicant must exhibit a commitment to the community.
- Recipients must agree to allow the use of their name and or photograph for publicity.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank reserves the right to select applicants based on the eligibility requirements. Awards will be made payable to the institution the applicant is attending. It is the responsibility of the recipient to provide the correct information and dates for payment in a timely manner—at least 3 weeks prior to any payment deadlines—to the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank.
